All-aboard and buffer rules
This is a tender port. The last tender back to the ship usually leaves 30 to 60 minutes before departure, and the queue for the last few tenders can be long. Plan to be back at the tender pier at least 90 minutes before the ship sails.
Tours that need extra margin here
- Ruins / history: Altun Ha is about an hour away and Xunantunich is over two hours, on top of the tender queue.
- Nature / waterfall / park: Cave tubing at Nohoch Che'en is about an hour inland.
- Zipline: Most canopy parks sit next to the cave tubing site an hour inland.
